BioGasol is a Danish process technology company specialising in the development of best-in-class technologies and supporting services to first and second generation biofuels as well as biochemicals developers and manufacturers.

The Company was founded in 2006 as a spin-out of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a result of successful R&D since the mid-nineties within the field of biochemical conversion of agricultural residues to bioethanol.
In 2010 the Company was wholly acquired by Fjord Capital Partners (UK) and the Carbofrac® systems were released for sale in 2011. Its innovative C5 and C6 sugar co-fermentation technology Pentocrobe® was spun out at the end of 2012 into sister company Estibio, which specialises in fermentation technology.
BioGasol is located near Copenhagen in Ballerup, Denmark. The Company’s 2,000 m2 site accommodates offices, a comprehensive analytical laboratory and modern pilot plant facilities.
